A long train journey left me purchasing an incredibly last-minute ticket to see this sparkling show.
Although a show that had not previously appealed, I remained open-minded and headed inside the Garrick Theatre. Programme purchased, seat found, and the show begun.
From dancing fridges to a Bee sprinting around the stage, this show has your head spinning like a disco ball.
From the creators of Six (Moss and Marlow), Why Am I So Single takes you on the journey of Nancy and Oliver, not to be confused with Oliver!, on their journey of self-discovery and why they are so single. Recently single Nancy is battling her inner demons of her Ex while her best mate Oliver is trying to navigate the queer dating scene, all while trying to write a new musical.
This show had the audience crying, laughing and generally questioning what was going on as a Bee climbs through a window.
With references to the hit TV show Friends (‘I got off the plane’) and many of our favourite musicals, the show brings tap dancing in a cafe and shopping trollies picking up dates. Toe tapping songs including C U Never and Disco Ball leave you humming along as you head for the tube home.

Hope to see this show in the future….
